my vote would go to freebuild just for the ease of connecting straight from the website without the ip; also, I haven't been keeping up with the updates, is minecraft getting close to its next developmental stages?

I think you should do whatever you feel like :)
I would suggest free mode simply for the ease of connection (connecting from the website as opposed to putting in an ip address for a normal multiplayer server); also, how close is the game to its next developmental stage and how is the progress in general? I have not been keeping up =/

Is there a free trial, like I think for WoW, you can give a weekly pass to your friends to play the game for 7 days. Does Minecraft have this?
